We use the original B T X product, the most effective active ingredient in wrinkle treatment, botulinum toxin, abbreviated here as B T X. This product is well known in society and is used not only for wrinkle treatment, but also for the treatment of excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and migraines. Botulinum is a protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. For legal reasons, Swiss medical law unfortunately prohibits the disclosure of either the product name or the actual active ingredient of the medication.

Which wrinkles can be treated?

Who is suitable?

Men and women with wrinkles caused by excessive muscle strain. This strain leads to expression lines. For ethical reasons, treatments are not performed on children. The minimum age is 18.

How long does a treatment take?

The treatment takes about 10 - 20 minutes, but enough time is planned so that optimal consultation can take place.

Do you feel a lot of pain?

A local anesthetic cream is available, but this is not recommended because the fine injection does not cause much pain.

When will the results be visible?

The results are visible after about 2 - 4 days, after 14 days the full effect is visible.

How long do the results last?

Our patients are extremely satisfied with the long-lasting effect.

This question has a lot to do with individual factors such as the patient's lifestyle and metabolism and can therefore vary.

However, the duration of the effect is approximately 4-9 months. The treatment can be repeated indefinitely. Furthermore, the effect tends to last for a shorter time in areas that are subject to a lot of movement, such as the eyes.

Are there any risks?

It may cause minor bruising, slight swelling, or in very rare cases, mild allergic reactions.

Can you immediately socialize after wrinkle treatment with botulinum?

Yes, you can usually return to social activities immediately after treatment.
You can resume your usual activities immediately after treatment.
On the day of treatment, we do not recommend using a sauna or solarium, and no pressure should be exerted on the treated areas, such as with a helmet or when boxing.

Excessive sweating

Treating sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis) with botulinum

Excessive sweating in the armpit area is particularly unpleasant in interpersonal relationships and is often perceived as very stressful by those affected, especially when under professional stress or in public. The good news: the sweat glands can be specifically treated with botulinum toxin.

Botulinum treatment for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)

Botulinum is a muscle relaxant that can be used to treat excessive sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis). It relaxes muscles or blocks nerve impulses that cause increased sweating.

Process and effect of treatment against excessive sweating

The treatment for excessive sweating involves injecting the active ingredient directly into the armpits with thin needles. To minimize the discomfort, the skin is pre-treated with an anesthetic ointment or local anesthesia. The session lasts approximately 15 to 30 minutes.

The effect begins after approximately one to two days and lasts an average of seven to nine months, although this can vary from person to person. The active ingredient is broken down by the body within a few months, so the treatment can be repeated regularly. Follow-up treatment is usually not necessary, and you can resume your normal activities immediately after the session.

Important information after treatment

After treatment, you can usually return to your normal activities immediately. However, you should avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, or tanning beds for a few days. Minor bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection sites are possible, but usually subside after a few days. Cooling the treated areas can provide relief.

Pain perception and costs

Thanks to very thin needles, the injections are usually not very painful, at most a little uncomfortable. A light anesthetic ointment can be applied upon request.
