PRP autologous blood therapy

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy is a highly effective, minimally invasive method for the biological regeneration of skin and hair. It is also known as the Vampire Facelift. At Perfect Esthetics in the heart of Zurich, this therapy is performed using state-of-the-art technology. It utilizes the body's own growth factors from blood plasma to activate cell processes, renew tissue, and reduce visible signs of skin aging.

Autologous blood therapy has also proven ideal for healing processes in illnesses and for regenerative processes related to hair growth. The best thing about this treatment method is that all of this is possible without foreign substances or surgical interventions.

What is PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma?

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. It is obtained from the patient's own blood and contains a high concentration of platelets, cytokines, and regenerative proteins. These components are crucial for:

  • Cell proliferation and differentiation

  • Collagen and elastin formation

  • Microcirculation and angiogenesis

  • Repair of connective tissue and wound healing

PRP therapy is based on a simple but highly effective principle: The healing components of the blood are concentrated and injected specifically into the skin or scalp, where they trigger regenerative processes.

Scientific basis of PRP autologous blood therapy

Numerous studies have already confirmed the effectiveness of PRP in aesthetic medicine, and we at Perfect Esthetics have also had good experiences with this treatment method. The growth factors it contains promote:

  • Fibroblast activity

  • Collagen formation

  • Angiogenesis

  • Cell regeneration

In dermatology, trichology and plastic surgery, PRP is considered a method with high patient satisfaction.

Technology: RegenACR A-PRP for PRP treatment at perfect esthetics

Perfect Esthetics uses the RegenACR A-PRP system. This is an advanced technology for producing autologous, highly concentrated PRP. This system enables:

  • sterile, precise extraction of PRP

  • a high concentration of growth factors

  • optimal biological activity

The treatment is performed by a physician using CE-certified materials. The PRP is injected directly after centrifugation or combined with microneedling to enhance its effect within the cells.

Applications of PRP therapy

PRP therapy is versatile and suitable for various aesthetic and dermatological indications. At perfect esthetics, it is always performed under the supervision of a specialist physician.

1. Skin rejuvenation (Vampire Facelift)

Autologous blood therapy with platelets is aptly nicknamed the Vampire Facelift. It has a noticeable lifting effect on patients and can improve the following aspects:

  • Reduction of wrinkles and fine lines

  • Improvement of skin structure and elasticity

  • Harmonizing skin tone

  • Revitalizing tired, dull skin

PRP is particularly effective in the eye area, where wrinkles can appear even at a young age and where traditional synthetic fillers are often unsuitable. After just a few weeks, the skin appears visibly fresher and smoother, as the blood components continue to work within the cells.

2. Promoting hair growth

Treatment with blood plasma has also proven effective in treating hair loss, as it stimulates the regeneration of hair growth through:

  • Stimulation of the hair follicles

  • Improved blood circulation in the scalp

  • Extension of the growth phase (anagen phase)

  • Treatment of androgenetic alopecia

PRP treatment is suitable for men and women with early-stage hair loss or thinning hair. The therapy can also be used after hair transplants to promote the healing process.

3. Scar treatment

At perfect esthetics, autologous blood therapy is also used to treat scars.

  • Reduction of acne scars

  • Smoothing of surgical scars and keloids

  • Supports skin renewal after laser or peeling

In combination with microneedling or mesotherapy, autologous blood therapy with platelets shows good results in structural skin changes.

4. Neck, décolletage and hands

These areas typically show early signs of aging, which can be counteracted with PRP treatment. PRP is ideally suited for revitalizing these sensitive areas of the body, resulting in a natural glow and improved skin texture.

Treatment procedure

PRP therapy at Perfect Esthetics is performed in four steps and can be individually tailored to each patient. It can also be combined with other methods.

  1. Consultation & Analysis: Individual skin or hair analysis, photo documentation and determination of the treatment strategy with a specialist.

  2. Blood collection & centrifugation: Approximately 10–20 ml of the patient's own blood is drawn from a vein and sterilely processed using the RegenACR system with centrifuge. This system yields autologous plasma rich in platelets.

  3. Injection or microneedling: Depending on the objective, the plasma is injected at specific points or applied over a larger area using a DermaPen. Immediately after injection, the platelets and various other factors begin to take effect in the body.

  4. Aftercare: Following PRP treatment, cooling is necessary, and you will receive all the necessary aftercare instructions to achieve optimal results. You should avoid sun exposure and makeup for 24 hours; otherwise, you can usually resume your normal social activities immediately after the treatment.

Treatment duration and results of autologous blood therapy

  • Duration: approx. 60 minutes

  • Recommended number: 3–4 sessions at 4-week intervals

  • Results: The first visible improvements can be seen after 7–10 days, and the full effect becomes apparent after 4–6 weeks.

  • Durability: 6–12 months, touch-ups and combinations with other treatment methods possible

The skin appears smoother, plumper, and more vibrant due to the effect of platelets in the blood. Hair treatments result in an increase in hair density and strength.

These combinations enhance the effect and enable holistic skin regeneration.

Who is PRP treatment suitable for?

PRP therapy is suitable for:

  • People with sensitive skin or allergies

  • Patients who do not want synthetic fillers

  • People with early-stage hair loss

  • People with acne scars or tired skin texture

However, treatment with the patient's own blood cells is not suitable in cases of active skin infections, blood clotting disorders, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Natural regeneration through autologous blood for natural beauty

At Perfect Esthetics, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy enhances natural beauty with medical precision and delivers lasting results. It gently, safely, and effectively activates your skin and hair's self-healing abilities. PRP is the key to regenerated, radiant beauty, promoting hair growth and youthful skin, and is also used in scar treatment to support the healing of specific areas.
